What is a float tub/REST tank/float spa?
Before I had kids, I would dream of vacationing in exotic places. Now, I dream about a few hours of alone time with no one asking me questions or calling Mommy, Mommy or requesting to make them food. What used to seem like a really boring way to spend time alone in a quiet place now seems like a luxury or a dream vacation to me!
What problem are we trying to solve?
By definition a flotation tub is a lightproof, soundproof tank of salt water in which a person floats as a form of deep relaxation. The water is kept at skin-temperature, making it imperceptible, and because the tank is lightproof and soundproof, the tub creates a place for our bodies to be free from gravity and all stimulation from the outside world.
The facts: Are flotation tubs clean?
In today’s fast paced world, it is very easy to neglect our health by letting our bodies fall victim to the excessive stress we face daily. Stress is a constant for many of us because of the overstimulation of the modern world. Stress can harm your physical and mental being by leading to addictions, blood pressure problems, chest pain, eating disorders, fatigue, headaches & migraines, increased heart rate, insomnia, muscle tension, nervousness, anxiety, problems with concentration among a plethora of other issues.
Floating During Pregnancy
The water and the tub for a flotation experience are extremely clean. The water is drained after each use, much like when you get a pedicure. The drained water goes to a reservoir which filters and sanitizes. And, of course, the tub is cleaned before the next use.
Can Children Benefit from Floating?
